Forklift Engine Fan
A forklift engine fan is a forced cooling component installed at the front of the engine. Its rotating blades accelerate airflow across the radiator (radiator) surface, controlling heat exchange within the engine cooling system. The high-speed rotation of the blades creates a directional airflow, increasing air velocity across the radiator surface and improving coolant heat exchange efficiency. This maintains the engine temperature within a safe range of 80-95°C, preventing high-temperature-induced failures such as cylinder block deformation and oil degradation. When a forklift is frequently started and stopped or carrying heavy objects, the engine operates at high loads at low speeds, resulting in insufficient natural air cooling. The fan actively compensates for this airflow shortfall. In high-temperature environments such as ports and steel mills, the fan extends high-intensity operation time and prevents engine thermal shutdowns. For front-engine forklifts, the fan's airflow direction is from the radiator to the engine compartment, aligning with the driving wind direction to achieve a synergistic cooling effect (the opposite is true for rear-engine construction vehicles). This component is crucial for ensuring forklift engine thermal management and is particularly indispensable in intensive operations.
