Forklift Engine Generator

The forklift engine generator (commonly called an alternator) is a core component of the internal combustion engine forklift's power system. Driven by the engine via a belt, it converts mechanical energy into electrical energy, powering the vehicle's electrical equipment and maintaining the battery charge. It provides stable power to the forklift's lighting system, instrument panel, electronic control unit, hydraulic solenoid valves, and other devices. While the engine is running, it continuously charges the battery, ensuring sufficient power for the next start and offline operation. Regularly check the belt tension and surface condition, clean the brush and slip ring contact surfaces to ensure they are free of oil, dirt, and carbon deposits, monitor the charge indicator, and promptly inspect the circuit and regulator if any abnormalities occur.
