Original Throttle Knob 60130-96-00021 for Excavator Spare Parts
The throttle knob on an excavator is a crucial component controlling engine speed, typically containing a potentiometer. Rotating the knob changes the potentiometer's resistance, sending a corresponding voltage signal to the throttle controller, which in turn controls the throttle motor and regulates engine speed.
Common Faults and Troubleshooting
If inaccurate throttle control or unstable engine speed occurs, the potentiometer (position meter) inside the throttle knob may be faulty. For example, fault code 306 is usually related to a potentiometer malfunction. In such cases, it is recommended to promptly inspect or replace the damaged component.
Automatic Idle Function
Modern excavators are typically equipped with an automatic idle control system. After approximately 4 seconds with all levers in the neutral position, the system automatically reduces the engine speed to idle (approximately 1400 rpm) to reduce noise and fuel consumption; upon re-operation, the speed returns to the set value. This function can be set via a switch on the instrument panel.
