It is developed from the "original priority valve," adding an unloading function to improve system efficiency (reduce energy consumption and heat generation) while still ensuring the absolute priority oil supply safety of the steering system.

Core Functions

Priority Oil Supply: This is its fundamental and primary function. Like the original priority valve, it absolutely prioritizes ensuring that the steering system (CF port) receives all the required flow and pressure, regardless of engine speed or working device load. Only after the steering demand is met is the remaining flow supplied to the working device (EF port).

Unloading: This is its key enhanced function, distinguishing it from the original priority valve. When the system is in standby mode (i.e., steering is not required and all operating levers are in the neutral position), this valve automatically guides excess hydraulic pump output back to the tank at a very low pressure (close to the tank pressure). This avoids the throttling losses and significant heat generation caused by high-pressure oil flowing through the main valve in a traditional open-core system when it is in the neutral position, significantly reducing energy consumption and oil temperature.

Pressure Compensation/Pressure Limiting (Optional or Integrated): Many priority unloading valves also integrate a pressure compensation valve or safety valve function. Its main functions are:
