The excavator's vertical lever (pilot valve joystick) is the hub of human-machine interaction. By pushing the lever angle, the operator triggers the displacement of the pilot valve's internal spool, outputting pilot oil pressure proportional to the handle travel, precisely controlling the main valve spool opening and movement speed. Compound action linkage allows a single handle to simultaneously trigger bidirectional signals on the X/Y axes (for example, pushing the handle forward and tilting it left can synchronize bucket retraction and left rotation). The pressure-reducing valve spool assembly: handle thrust → pushes the push rod → compresses the pressure-regulating spring → spool displacement → output pilot pressure. (Dual spring damping system: return spring (quick return to center) + pressure spring (vibration damping) + plunger oil chamber (high-frequency vibration absorption) effectively suppresses handle resonance and vibration.
