The excavator hydraulic oil intake filter (also known as the oil suction filter) is a core filter component in the hydraulic system, protecting the hydraulic pump and directly impacting system reliability and lifespan. This primary protective barrier, installed at the front end of the oil suction line inside the hydraulic oil tank, intercepts particulate contaminants in the oil, preventing impurities from entering the hydraulic pump and causing abnormal wear. The corrugated filter layer structure increases the filtration area and reduces oil suction resistance to below 15 psi. After replacing the filter element, the main pump must be completely bled (by loosening the air valve to allow oil to escape). Failure to do so will cause system noise or cavitation damage to the pump.
